Insurance and liability:
All participants and staff of OurCamps are covered by Public Liability insurance. However, OurCamps cannot be held responsible for any act, omission, loss or damage unless proven to be caused by OurCamps negligence. OurCamps does advise all staff to ensure they have adequate insurance in case of injury or illness whilst at our camps. OurCamps does not accept any responsibility for events which are beyond our direct control. OurCamps shall not be liable for any costs, expenses or refunds, if your child cannot attend our camps due to injury, sickness or where you choose to withdraw your child (please refer to Cancellation and refunds).
Staffing, safety and first aid:
OurCamps have a duty of care to all participants and their safety is our upmost priority. There will always be at least one qualified first aider with us during our camps as well as a regulation first aid kit. Staff and coaches are enhanced DBS checked and will a hold qualification or be experienced coaches and/or teachers. OurCamps take place outdoors and in various weather conditions. Participants should bring layers to cope with unpredictable weather as well as caps and sun cream. It is the sole responsibility of the parent/carer to inform OurCamps of any health issues, disabilities, allergies or illnesses at the time of booking via the online booking form. If any health issues arise after filling in the form, parents/carers must inform OurCamps as soon as possible in order for us to update our database.
Bookings:
A confirmation email will be sent once OurCamps have received the booking form. We cannot guarantee a space at our camps until payment has been made. OurCamps run on a first come first served basis. Once all spaces are filled, there will be a waiting list and you will be contacted in the event of a place becoming available.
Cancellation and refunds:
If an individual must cancel, for any reason, more than 72 hours before the camps commence, a full refund will be issued.
If an individual must cancel, for any reason, less than 48 hours before camps commencing, no refund will be issued. Any refunds will be issued using the same method used to pay for the booking.
Behaviour:
At OurCamps we aim to provide a professional and respectful service. We will not tolerate any unacceptable behaviour from any parent, carer or participant. OurCamps reserve the rights to refuse a child at any time. Any cost incurred by the withdrawal of a child due to unacceptable behaviour is the responsibility of the parent/carer and no refunds will be made.
Photography:
Photographs may be taken of participants during OurCamps to be used for promotional material. Those who do not want their child to have their image publicised will need to state on the booking form when signing up for camps. They will be asked to stand out from group photos. All photos will be stored securely, and no names will be used in promotions.
Personal Property:
We advise participants not to bring any valuable personal belongings to camps. OurCamps will accept no liability for loss, damage or theft of personal property owned by participants. To ensure items that are left behind are returned to the owner, please ensure personal items and clothing are clearly labelled.
Camp Drop off/Pick up:
Parents/Carers must inform camp staff who is collecting their child at the end of the day if it is someone different to the person who dropped them off. Food and drink Participants may bring snacks at OurCamps; however, no nut items are permitted. Please also provide participants with plenty of water for camps.
Covid- 19:
In order to protect those who are involved in camps and minimise the spread of Covid-19, we will follow the latest Government guidance. All equipment is sanitised with antibacterial products. Hand sanitiser is available freely to all participants throughout and encouraged before the start of every camp.
